So, you feel a strong pull toward angels—but you’re not quite sure where to begin. How do you connect with them? How do you actually talk to your angels or understand their guidance?
The most natural place to begin is with conversation. Think of it like getting to know a new friend. You wouldn’t expect a close connection without first sitting down, sharing stories, and learning about one another. It’s the same with your angels. They may not sit across from you in the physical sense, but the relationship can be just as real and profound.
Start by imagining them with you. In your mind’s eye, see, feel, or simply know that they are present. Trust this. It might feel strange at first—maybe even like you’re “just imagining” it. But the more you allow yourself to step into this space, the stronger the connection will become. Over time, your awareness will shift. You may begin to feel tingles on your skin, waves of emotion, a change in the atmosphere around you, or what I like to call angel bumps—those goosebumps that come out of nowhere. These are all signs. When you stay open, faith starts turning imagination into experience.

Creating a Daily Angel Practice
Set aside a quiet hour each day to devote to this practice. Create a calm space for yourself—light a candle, play soft music if silence feels too heavy, and bring a journal specifically for your angel work. If you have a deck of angel cards you love (preferably one with a good guidebook), bring that along too—it’ll become your translator, helping bridge the gap between the physical and the divine.
Hold your cards to your heart to align their energy with yours.
When you’re ready, call them in. You can speak their names if you’re drawn to specific angels, or simply invite in your guardian angel, a healing presence, or the angelic energies that are meant to be with you right now. Call them gently, as though they’re in the next room and you’re asking them to join you.
Then, begin to speak. Out loud, or in writing—whatever feels most natural. Pour your heart out. Share your fears, doubts, guilt, joy, and dreams. Be as raw and real as you can. They’re not here to judge; they’re here to hold space, to guide, to comfort, to celebrate. You might laugh with them. You might cry. It’s all welcome.
When you’ve finished, thank them. Then ask for insight. This is where your card deck comes in. If you’re not a trained intuitive or psychic yet, this is a beautiful, accessible way to receive clear messages.
Hold your cards to your heart to align their energy with yours. Cleanse them if needed. Then shuffle with your questions or feelings in mind. Pull a few cards—however many you feel called to draw.
Take your time reading them. Let the artwork speak to you. What stands out? What thoughts, emotions, or memories arise? The guidebook can be helpful, but don’t get too caught up in the official meanings. Instead, look for phrases or symbols that feel especially relevant. The message may not always be obvious—but it will reveal itself in time.
Stay Open to Their Messages
Let the messages linger with you throughout the day. Sometimes they make more sense in hindsight. I once kept pulling the message “home sweet home” over and over, and I assumed it meant I needed to rest and take a step back from work. A few days later, my daughter suggested I film my daily spiritual routines at home instead of trying to create forced videos for social media. Suddenly, the message made perfect sense. The guidance had been clear all along—I just hadn’t seen it yet.
Be mindful of other signs and synchronicities, too. Angel numbers, sudden inspiration, perfectly timed songs or social posts, random conversations that strike a chord, books that appear just when you need them—these are all part of their language. Write them down in your journal. Keep track of dreams too—angels often use our dream state to gently bring clarity, emotional healing, or deeper insight.
Over time, these notes will build a clear picture. The more consistent your practice, the stronger the connection will become. You’ll begin to see how angels are weaving their support into your everyday life—through people, timing, intuition, and inner shifts.
Let This Become Your Practice
Show up every day. Be present. Stay open. The more you connect, the more you’ll feel held, supported, and guided. This isn’t about getting it perfect—it’s about building a relationship. The angels are always ready to meet you halfway. When you make space for them, they make space for miracles.
Try it. You might be amazed at what unfolds.
