Opening to Receive: Noticing the Psychic Signals Already Around You

For the longest time, I struggled with feeling completely un-psychic. It often felt like there was an invisible wall around me—thick and impenetrable—blocking anything intuitive or spiritual from reaching me. And of course, I know better: thinking that way only reinforces the block. I remind myself often that I am intuitive. I am psychic. And with regular practice, I can learn to access that part of myself more clearly.

I’ve started to wonder whether the problem isn’t that I’m not receiving—but that I am, and just not realizing it. Maybe you’re doing the same? Below are some of my personal experiences—little cracks in the wall—where intuitive connection managed to shine through.

The Gold Light Experience

Just a few days ago, I had an unexpected and beautiful visualization. I was sitting quietly in the living room when I suddenly became aware of thousands—yes, thousands—of tiny, golden pinpoints of light surrounding me. They were no larger than the head of a pin and would vanish whenever I looked directly at them. But in my periphery, they sparkled. At any given moment, I only saw a couple—but I knew there were countless more. The entire experience lasted under a minute, but it left a lasting impression.

A Game of Cards—and an Unexpected Connection

A few weeks back, I decided to revisit the classic psychic card game—guessing red or black while drawing cards from a deck laid face down. My record so far? Forty-two correct guesses. But on this day, something extraordinary happened.

It didn’t feel like a typical dream—it felt sacred.

While playing, I felt a connection forming with one of my spirit guides. I asked, silently, how we might communicate better during the game. Then came the most amazing internal exchange. We quickly agreed that if the upcoming card was red, she would hold a giant red heart above her head, waving it with excitement. If the card was black, she would hold out a solid black square box like a gift being offered. I could “see” these symbols not with my physical eyes, but with what I’d call my psychic vision—somewhere deep inside the center of my mind. I’d fix my eyes on a soft point in space and, from within, I would just know what she was showing me.

Flecks of Light on the Edge of Sight

There’s also the recurring sparkle phenomenon. Often while watching TV or relaxing, I’ll catch little flashes of light on the stairs or near a wall. In my old home, they often appeared in the bedroom. These lights are larger than the gold pinpoints I mentioned earlier, and like before, they disappear when I try to look directly at them. They tend to come in waves—I might see several in a single day and then none at all for weeks. But when they appear, I always pause and acknowledge them.

A Hug in a Dream

Two weeks ago, I had a dream that still lingers with me. It didn’t feel like a typical dream—it felt sacred. I had been working on something with my best friend when, without warning, she looked at me with deep knowing, reached out, and gave me the most powerful, heart-melting hug I’ve ever felt. All stress, grief, and tension dissolved in that embrace. There was no surreal dream-logic here—just connection, emotion, and peace. The sense of healing I felt in that moment is still with me today.

Messages Through Automatic Writing

Though I haven’t done it much recently, I used to lean heavily on automatic writing, especially during tough times. I would write without overthinking, letting thoughts and answers pour out through the pen. When I’d read the words back, I was often stunned—messages filled with compassion, clarity, and wisdom. It was always obvious that those words hadn’t come from my conscious mind. They were gifts—communications from guides, higher self, or something else deeply wise and loving.

My Grandmother’s Tunnel

A few days after my grandmother passed, I found myself thinking about her when I suddenly saw a vivid image in my mind’s eye. She was gliding—fast—up a tunnel filled with brilliant, swirling, multicolored light. It was beautiful. More than that, the feeling that came with it was profound: complete freedom, joy, and peace. I didn’t just see it. I felt it. And I’ve carried that feeling with me ever since.

Psychic communication—at least for me—can be unpredictable. It’s easy to brush it off as coincidence or imagination. But the more we do that, the more we close the door. That’s why I try to live by a simple idea: you don’t see in order to believe—you believe in order to see.

Believe that you’re surrounded by love. That your guides are speaking to you. That signs are showing up for a reason. The more you hold that belief, the more those channels will open. Don’t dismiss what you receive. Don’t second-guess the subtle signs. Let them in.

And most of all—keep practicing. Stay open. The communication is already happening.

Wishing you clarity, connection, and trust in your journey.
